Pictures were taken in Mactan Island, Cebu City)..
Cebu City-- I have heard of this place many times from different people, and Everytime I hear
this place I think of Guitar, Dried mango, danggit, and Magellan's Cross. I never thought that
(Cebu City is one of the best summer spot on the Philippines especially in mactan island.
Summer of 2010, me, my cousin Nina, my aunt Edna, and my aunt Elena went to cebu Cebu City for a summer
getaway. On the airport, I am so excited to step into the land of Cebu to see hundreds of guitars, and of course to taste
that delicious dried mango again and the famous "Cebuano's lechon Baboy". But my excited was a bit lowered
due to our delayed flight. It was 6:50 when we step inside the plane, I was a bit upset because I can't see the view
of Cebu from above since our flight was rescheduled at the evening. All I can see from above is lights, lights,
and more lights. We arrived at the Mactan International Airport at 7:40pm. We rented a car and went to the resort,
when we arrived in the resort, I was so pissed off because I can't see the whole beauty of the beach coz some lights were off.
We headed to our room and drop all our belongings and retired to bed.

The Next day, I was really excited to sea the shore, my excitement were fulfilled when I saw White sand and
crystal clear water. I took pictures and of course tried the water,,haha I was amazed when I went far from the shore
and saw that my feet were still visible despite of the depth of the water.. That moment Guitars and Mangos
left my mind the joy and excited to swim with the fishes took its place..haha
We stayed in the waters for almost two hours when we finally decided to go back to our room to eat..

Next day, we went on an island hopping trip.. I was really grateful that Cebu is part
of my country, seeing the deep blue water made me fall in love to the place and the people are so amazing.
They treat us the best way they could and made our trip comfortable and unforgetable.
When we got to the island they called "Sulpa island" near the "Olango island", we ate our
lunch and Best!, The foods were amazing and slightly exotic..hehehe that was my first time to eat "Oni" or the
sea urchin I think, gosh it was delicious and it made me want for more, and of course a little beer..
After the lunch on the "Sulpa Island" we went to another
island they call the Fish Sanctuary for snorkling and diving. There, we jumped off the boat to see
under water creatures.. The lifevest made me much comfortable to float anywhere I like and to follow the fishes
or to float freely.... Below us were multi-colored fishes, some were blue, violet, orange, yellow,
balck, white, or a mixed of two colors that I said,
and table sized live coral with colors Red Light yellow and cream white...
I stayed for almost an hour in the water floating until I felt my legs and shoulders are in pain,
and my hands got wrinkled due to a long stay in the waters..
I don't want to get on the boat that time coz I still want to swim with the fishes below
I but I have no choice everybody's on the boat and telling me to get in the boat. I wanted to stay in the waters
where I can swim with the fishes, no worry or anything at all, but majority rules the world.
I get in to the boat and left the fishes swim below me..huhuh
But too bad We had to leave :-(
On the boat.. I was still thinking bout how beautiful the sea of Cebu is. I took pictures of the sea and everything
that my camera can captures. When the boat docks on their small port, I felt sad coz

and I am sad that if they wont take good care of the sea, I will no longer see beautiful fishes or swim with them again..
On the evening, My whole body was in pain because of too much swimming but I didn't regreted nor blamed anyone coz
I had one of my best trips ever.... The following day was our last day to the island.. We walked on the shores again
took pictures and remembering day we had yesterday. Then we flew back to Bacolod.
End
till my next getaway.. Hope next month..hehehe
here are some photos of our getaway
